Laser Tattoo Lightening
Doctor Ink Eraser also works with clients who wish to have an old tattoo lightened in preparation for a cover-up tattoo. In this instance, Doctor Ink Eraser works hand-in-hand with our client's tattoo artist to provide optimal lightening for the perfect cover-up. Lightening requires fewer treatments than complete removal, and our ultimate goal is always for our clients to get the exact results they desire.
How Tattoo Removal Works
With each pulse from our lasers, light energy passes harmlessly through the outer layer of the skin and targets the tattoo ink directly. The ink is shattered ink tiny micro-particles which, over a period of 6-8 weeks are broken down and absorbed through the body. Our Nanosecond lasers are ideal for breaking down the larger ink particles of an untreated tattoo, and our Picosecond lasers provides a photo-acoustic, think sound wave, effect that obliterates smaller ink particles effectively. Our unique combination of both Nanosecond and Picosecond technology allows us to remove tattoos in approximately 1/2 the time and treatments when compared with traditional methods.
